  • The Allusive John Wesley Harding And hey! It’s a free EP! Wes is one of my favorite musicians and a fine human being who never makes me feel like the dorky fangirl that I am. Also, he played my birthday request a year and a half ago at World Cafe Live.

OH THE NON-WHITE-MALE-COOTIES. Seriously, those commenters at SF Signal.

Although some of the other comments are win.

      COOTIES. EVERYWHERE.

I linked to that list of nominees instead or some others because I was enjoying the smackdown of the sad white men in the comments. 😀

They are so sad. It would be funny if it weren’t still such a large part of genre spaces.

It would be. I wish it weren’t something that came up with such depressing frequency. In my more positive moments, I think of it as the death rattle of the kyriarchy.

I read “Extinction outburst” as a term referring to it on Twitter…

Arrgh about the non-white-male cooties. Some of the retorts though were win.

Can’t believe it’s the 20th anniversary of Babylon 5! Wow. I remember thinking the pilot movie was a bit naff, but then I was slowly sucked into the show as I watched S1. By S2, I was thoroughly hooked.
