Forms in Nature

I’m a bit scatterbrained this week, so no commentary, just a bunch of random. Enjoy!

  • How Elizabeth Smart Is Taking On Rape Culture
  • Space-Born Jellyfish Hate Life On Earth
  • To the Producers and Cast of Sleepy Hollow: Keep the Waistcoats!

  • Why Everyone Should Be Reading Ancillary Justice If you haven’t already been convinced to read it, that is.
  • It’s not a real heart, it’s a real artificial heart.
  • Axe men’s body spray: What happens when a woman wears it for a week?
  • What Is Mitt Romney Hiding in His New House’s Hidden Room?
  • Two trans guys have a son. Are they raising him gender-neutral?

  • First rule of Science Club: We don’t talk about lack of girls in Science Club
  • Turning The Page On Unpaid Publishing Industry Internships While I am sure that unpaid internships can be highly educational experiences, they also make the networking opportunities that come with internships unavailable to people who cannot afford to spend a period of time working without a paycheck.
  • Brenner, nun to Tijuana prison inmates, dies at 86
  • Meet the Victorian women who fought back
  • Ancient Bees, Dinos May Have Died Out Together

Victorians money quote: “It is a small consolation for Nancy Jones, in Whitechapel, who is kicked and beaten at discretion by her husband, to know that Lady Jones, in Belgravia, is always assisted in and out of her carriage as if she were a cripple.”

Will have to read MGK later (blocked here).

Also, loved the PR movie trailer (and I did love the movie, too).
