I’m sorry if this one gives people nightmares.

Folks in the DC area–I’ll be at Capclave this weekend so if anyone wants to meet up for a meal or whatever, let me know!

And hey, we still don’t have a federal government here in the US!

And finally: David Duchovny and a tea pot.

Ohhhhh, God, I couldn’t make it all the way through the Piers Anthony link but I am now kind of regretting the happy hours in my tweens/early teens spent reading Xanth books, especially as that was one of the first places I encountered sex in my reading life. Not enough brain bleach in the world.

Thanks for the Anthony link. I’ve never read his books, and that’s enough to make me feel like I’ll never be clean again.

When I was young Piers was “controversial”. Kids coming to reenectment events or sci fi cons or whatnot would be told pretty fast to avoid him & not call his vanity line. That’s as far as I’m going with that, but I did read some of his books & felt like I needed a good scrubbing. Wonder if Whedon is a Piers fan?
