I don’t think I’ve ever commented before but I wanted to say that *this* has become my favorite feminist website alternative to jez and xoJane. Your linkspams are always the most thoughtful part of my Friday. I recommend you to everyone I know.

Also, what is up with Christopher DeFilippis’s mansplaining comment in the Catherine Tobler post?

@DameB: You are *entirely* too kind. I am so glad you enjoy these posts. And I do NOT know what is up with that comment on Tobler’s post and it made me sad when I saw it.

The How I Learned To Feel Undesireable article was sad. I want him to know his smile and the smile-wrinkle at his eyes were the first thing *I* noticed in the pic, and the rest of him’s handsome too, and I definitely find him attractive. But there are hundreds of comments over there, and I feel contacting him otherwise might be creepy, and that probably was not the point of his write-up, anyway.

I was distressed to read about King’s tweet, not least b/c Rose Madder is one of my favorite books by him, and I kind of thought he got it. I’m glad he did seem to really apologize.
