Readercon was pretty great! I enjoyed the panels I attended and the ones I was one were well received. The “Terrible…but Great” panel was a great deal of fun. We talked about Anne Bishop, Mercedes Lackey, Philip K. Dick, Bradley Denton, and many others. Kate Nepveu has a really great write up, if you’d like some of the specific titles. It was also awesome to see everyone and make a few new friends while drinking overpriced gin and tonics in the bar.

This trailer is everything I have ever wanted from a trailer for A Wrinkle in Time.

Terrible…but Great: I’m intrigued enough by the description of The Big U (“villain of book is university architecture”) to look for it in my library, but they don’t have it. Others I’ve read of his: Snow Crash, Zodiac, Seveneves.

I love the motivational post-its Butler wrote for herself. I also like her doodles. I would probably buy a book of her power-up notes to herself, if anyone ever published them like that.

AWIT: whoah, that video! I’ve only read one of those books, not the first one. This vid interests me in them much more.
