Links Roundup 05/19/17

Collage by Rebecca Clouâtre

Time has completely gotten away from me and consequently, I’m about a week behind on link-collecting. That means this is going to be a particularly sparse week.

Much like my closet, to be honest. My body has been changing over the past few months to the point where many of my clothes no longer fit. When I tell people this, they think it’s great that I get to buy new clothes and really, it’s not. I like new clothes as much as the next person, but I’d invested a tremendous amount of money in my wardrobe and to have to give most of it away–it’s painful. Especially since I like to buy high quality pieces and don’t feel like I can really invest in them right now, not until I know where things are going to settle.

That’s not to say I haven’t bought anything new. I have. In fact, this excellent dress with flamingos on it is en route and I’m hoping it arrives in time for Balticon. I’ll be there Friday evening through Sunday morning. If you’re there, I’d love to see you. (This also means no links post next week: I’ll see y’all in June!)

  • I Grew Up In A Fundamentalist Cult — ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ Was My Reality
  • Austin Kleon on “scenius.” I hadn’t heard of this concept before, but it makes total sense.
  • How Only Being Able to Use Logic to Make Decisions Destroyed a Man’s Life. Take that, Commander Logic.
  • IT ME: I’m just a girl, standing in front of a high-street shop, asking it to dress her.

I told you I didn’t have much!
