Bad Life Decisions: Chapter 29 and Author’s Note

Imagine this book in the middle of that explosion. Oh yes. That's a lovely mental image. I'm going to hold that in my head as I read the second book in this series next month and as I read Summa Elvetica in October.  Why, you ask? Because this project has managed to raise $5,125 dollars for RAINN and other organizations doing similar kinds of work and,...

I have the best-worst news, everyone! The total for the fundraiser is $5,125! There was a Very Large Donation made to an eligible organization last week--I didn't get the receipt until today but I'm not inclined to split hairs. So I'll be finishing Eternal Warriors™: The War in Heaven™ as planned. Mary Robinette Kowal will perform at least one snippet in...

Exciting news! The goal of $2,000 has not only been met, it has been exceeded! As of this writing, we're $25 short of a stretch goal: Mary Robinette Kowal reading a passage in her phone sex voice.  And I'll be reading the entire novel, so that's a thing as well. https://twitter.com/eilatan/status/626533064659832832 Chapter 25: Citadel of the King...

Hello! I'm Natalie Luhrs.

I write about books, culture, disability, and whatever else strikes my fancy. I have many opinions.

I am a two-time Hugo Award finalist, in 2017 for Best Fan Writer and in 2021 for my essay “George R.R. Martin Can Fuck Off Into the Sun, Or: The 2020 Hugo Awards Ceremony (Rageblog Edition)” in the Best Related Work category.

Please do not offer me medical advice. I have something like 10 doctors and it’s already pretty challenging to keep up with what they want me to do. I do not have the bandwidth to process any advice that doesn’t come from one of my doctors, no matter how well meant the advice may be. Thank you!

Wishlists

Look, I know it’s crass, but I’m unemployed and not going to have an income until my SSDI goes through and who knows when that’ll be, so here’s some wishlists in case you want to buy me something. I try to keep them reasonably up to date.
