Pretty Terrible

Pop Culture Criticism by Natalie Luhrs

August 16, 2013

balance – sketch/study

balance-sketch-study

sketchbook, watercolor pencil.

practice exercise for my watercolor lettering class.

watercolor pencil is a bit like those coloring books where you paint with water. neat but ultimately dissatisfying. not picking phrases like “fuck off” or “die in a fire” for this class’s projects is really hard, too.

Why not pick “die in a fire”?

I have yet to do any of the work, but I’m definitely not going the peace-love-hope route.

I worry about getting blowback on subject matter. I probably shouldn’t care so much.
